San Pedro

Part
of the municipality of Marbella, San Pedro de Alcántara
originated as a settlement built by the Marquis of
Duero in 1860 although ancient ruins near the beach
date back to Roman times and the 4th Century. The
town, set back from the beach features pleasant plazas,
pedestrianised shopping areas and plenty of restaurants
and bars, many traditionally Spanish eateries.
